Arndorfer "Wald Terrassen" Vineyard Project 003 2021

Roughly 20 cases a year will be produced. 50% Riesling and 50% Welschriesling planted in 1976 and 1994 on this incredible terraced hillside vineyard surrounded by forests. Directly pressed, fermented and aged in stainless steel barrel for 10 months on the full lees—the steel is shaped like a barrique for more ideal lees contact—unfined, unfiltered and low sulfur addition only at bottling. This is a quietly structured—but not simple—wine. Crushed stones, sweetly floral and incredible saturation. Very mineral and cool toned with a yeasty and reserved profile.
